  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 10 mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1.5lb beef
  • 1 pinch flour, seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 0.5 pint beef stock
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 200g low-fat crème fraîche

  • Melt half the butter and fry the mushrooms and onions until browned.
  • Remove from pan and put aside.
  • Coat the thinly sliced beef in seasoned flour, melt the remaining butter and fry the beef until brown.
  • Add the rest of the flour, beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, and then the crème fraîche.
  • Add the mushrooms and onions and simmer for 20 mins.
