Body 1
Feeling more twangy than a banjo? Your round ligaments are being pulled every which way by the growing baby stretching your womb during the second trimester. The sensations are often brought on by sneezing, coughing or moving too quickly, particularly when getting out of bed. If you’re finding that a problem, make sure you get up slowly, sitting up, then swinging your legs over the edge of the bed, then standing. Doing it all in one go is what causes the ‘twang’.

Quote 1
If it feels muscular you have nothing to worry about, it's just everything stretching. I can feel the bump's presence when I walk now, it pulls slightly. It's exactly the right time for this to start happening.

Quote 2
I have had a bit of this, usually after exercise. Nothing for it but to rest up really, just everything getting heavy and your poor old muscles having to hold it up. I do find if I get a sharp pain while walking that holding my abs tight and adjusting my posture can help, I guess they take some of the load.

Quote 3
My midwife advised paracetamol if the pain was bad. At first I refused through some sort of mother nature ideal but I do use them now. In fact the midwife suggested I took them before the pain got too bad and it does really help.
