Yoga smokers

I feel quite ashamed to ask...I'm a beginner, trying to go to classes one day a week and trying the 30 day Adrienne ( behind a few days at present), is there any one else that smokes?
I'm 37 and have tried and quit for a while when having my children but I've always returned to it. I want the healthier lifestyle and a quieter mind which is why I want to do yoga but am struggling. Anyone else in the same boat? Or been there and overcome?

I used to smoke, stopped and started for years. I read Alan Carr's Easy Way to stop Smoking. And I stopped. That was 15 years ago. My ex read the book when he reached 50 & quit. From 60 a day. Worked for us.

I'm an odd one and smoke - but not much, about 2 or three roll ups a day, maybe four on Friday or Saturday if I have a couple of beers. Only in the evenings after my evening meal, never in the daytime, I don't even feel like smoking in the daytime. It's addiction by association, if I'm somewhere else and don't eat at home, like I'm out for a meal or over at my mums place say, I don't get the urge to smoke at all. I've stopped a few times but always start again after a couple of months. The first few days are actually okay but then after a week or 10days I feel like chewing my own arm off and it just doesn't go away! Which is weird because for most people the first few days are the hardest then it gets easier. Not only do I do yoga but I ride mountain bikes, run, enjoy hiking and go circuit training! It's about time I sorted it out really.

@sparrowhouse Late to this thread but I also gave up smoking 8 years ago with Allan Carr's easy way to quit smoking book. It's less than the price of one pack of cigarettes, so even if it only helps you quit for one day, you'll have saved money!
