It's day 23 and there are just 7 days of Dedicate left. Well done yogis for getting onto the mat in your own way and at your own pace. We’re here to support each other as we yoga to the end of Dedicate, through to Feb and beyond.

Morning all. Day 23 is in the bag. Along with lots more planks. A few side ones but more dynamic than Day 22, I still struggled on the last rep. There was a lot of much needed stretching at the end. I did enjoy it but would advise not having too full a stomach. I’d only had a coffee first but it wasn’t sitting very comfortably.

Thanks for the new thread Gumpendorf

Oooh shiny new thread, thank you Gumpendorf

Day 23 was good, the side planks were much easier with both feet on the ground.

Hello- thanks for the new thread Gumpendorf . I'm a day behind because of doing the yoga lesson yesterday. I'm aiming to do 22 and 23 later but I'm at a work thing until late so might catch up at the weekend instead.

For those who asked about the private class. It was really good. we had a little chat about what I'd like at the beginning and agreed on a vinyassa flow class as I wanted to be corrected in all of the main poses.
We begun just like a normal class and I followed what she told me but as we went on she adjusted me more than usual and propped me up with bolsters and blocks as appropriate. I got much deeper into twists than I ever have before and we ran through the technique for getting my leg from down dog to the front of the mat (I still can't do it, but it's better!).

We then spent some time on shoulder stands as I wanted to find a way of doing them without suffocating on my boobs Blush, that's something I never would have done in a class setting and managed to get my feet to the floor Grin.

We then did savasana and she pulled my arms and legs and neck and gave me a head massage before tucking me up under a blanket- I felt completely blissed out as I left- and was there 1 hr 20 in total.

If I'm honest the money would put me off having more but I think it's a really worthwhile thing and would consider doing it once or twice a year as my practice develops.

Morning! Haven't done 23 yet but looking forward to it later - my wrists are quite sore though and feel like they need a break, doesn't sound like I'm going to get it today though?

Forgot to add that I can really feel it in my hip flexors, abs and shoulders today. Not painful, but I can feel that I've worked harder than usual.

Thanks for the new thread Gumpendorf. I was here to gauge if Day 23 was going to be doable in my lunchtime but think I'm justified in saving it for later!

The private yoga class sounds amazing! I'm really enjoying the programme so need some tips to carrying on at the end if anyone has carried on after it ends previously?

Yay day 23 done ! Got through the planks.
Noticed that the first two minutes of the video were spent doing nothing!
Also yoga makes me yawn! Anyone else?
@CourageCalls others have said Adriane does a monthly calendar or recommended videos each month inc a new one on Sundays. Link is towards the end of the previous thread. Some of us are going to mix it up a bit doing other stuff on some days but continue with the yoga on other days. What did you have in mind?

Thanks for the new thread. Day 23 done. Each session whizzes by, I'm always surprised when it reaches the end.

I enjoyed day 23 more than the previous and my side planks were a lot better than yesterday. I love that Adriene always knows when I need to move into child's pose for a breather!

Best wishes @Espoleta Flowers I hope the practices are giving you some strength at this time.

I'd love to do a one-to-one session too. Even simple stuff like table top has me wondering if I'm in the right position.

Skipped day 23 in favour of her yoga for pms and cramps routine. Feeling physically and mentally shitty tbh - a combination of hormones, tiredness and the endless doom on the news which is making me incredibly anxious. Hope to be back into Dedicate tomorrow, but needed something gentle and pillow-heavy today. Sad

Day 23 completed.
I do my sessions in the bedroom and at the moment I have a large mirror propped up against the wall which is useful for checking my positions, making sure my vacknuscstraighf and so on.
I do get a bit fed up of her waffling on and prefer her to just crack on with.

Hugs for ESP for your fellow yogis.

I did 21 and 22 together today. Those side planks were tough! I enjoyed them both though.

cheminotte I got it for free in exchange for some work I did for the instructor. I think from other people I know that they’re between £40-60. I won’t have one regularly due to price but I think that if I keep doing Adriene most of the time rather than paid classes that I could have one or two a year.

I've just finished Day 23. I feel as though this year's programme is easier than last year's, but I don't know whether that's because I've got stronger and more experienced at yoga, or because the videos are genuinely less challenging. Lots of them seem to be around the 20 minute mark, whereas last year I seem to remember there being more 25-30 minute practices. Those of you who followed 2018's programme, do you agree or am I misremembering?
