Hi

I am a complete yoga newbie but have just finished True with Adriene and have completely fallen in love with yoga. I am now starting her revolution series on youtube which i am also loving.

My question is if anyone has any tips on how to do some yoga when i do not have access to the internet? I spend a lot of weekends away from home on weekends during the summer and often have opportunities to spend time on the beach and would love to do some yoga but not sure how to make it flow and link the poses I really need someone to tell me what to do

Sorry if that's a bit of a ramble!

Thanks

Your best bet is to learn (I.e. memorise!) a basic sun salutation sequence and then you can play around and build on that
Eg stand-forward fold-step back to plank, lower-cobra-downward dog and from downward dog then you can step through to a lunge and go for all sorts eg warriors, wide legged forward fold etc.

You can also do a lot from a simple cross legged position eg side stretches reaching the arm up and over, gentle twists, shoulder stretches and mobilisation etc.

If you try to lay down basics in your brain with repetition then you’ll find that once you e got that you will feel comfortable to start to add on bits and experiment a bit.

Also remember that savasana (ie lying down) works very well on the beach Wink

Enjoy!

yep as above. so when you step through into a lunge first go into warrior1, then warrior2 and then reverse warrior, they work well together. From reverse warrior you can then windmill your arms back down to your lunge, and then step your forward foot back behind you into the air for three legged dog.

You’ll eventually be so routine with the steps, you’ll be able to do the exercises from habit.
I love Adriene’s videos, she’s so relatable and makes it fun.
Also, I think you can download the videos to your device, so maybe look into that?
