Yoga

yoga pants that don't cost £90 but are really good

I've noticed that I'm the only one in yoga class wearing Primark leggings. Everyone else has these hippy imprint yoga pants but when I look them up online they all seem to cost £90! Are there any really good companies that make proper stretchy leggings that don't slide or gape or ride up but don't cost so much? I'm overweight so would prefer something not too lairy in colour. Dark greys and navys are ideal.

I got some sports leggings from sports direct for about £11-12 in a dark grey stretchy fabric.

I think they were by USA pro which I suspect is one of their own brands. They seem to have a load reduced online in ladies, clothing, exercise and fitness.

Fairly evil company but incredibly useful for cheap sports gear!

Thanks Etymology. I'll take a look

Gap sport are actually very long wearing - 4 years and going strong. I also bought some from the M&S sports collection by that model and they fit really nicely

Also I’m wary of gray Lycra, I’ve noticed it shows sweat patches really obviously

Ah Fledgling - that's a really good tip. Gap's the sort of price range I had in mind but I've not been in there for ages. I'll take a look. Thanks.

I really like the Sainsbury’s leggings tbh. They’re cut with a nice long rise and a decent elasticated waist so there’s no chance of builders bum in class.

GAP with their 40% off deals are good. Or TK MAXX if you’ve got one locally.

Decathlon's own brand are super cheap and cover your bum well while exercising.
Dd wears flared ones for dance and drama where everything has to be black.

I’ve found George by Asda make some really good leggings—it’s a bit hit or miss, but I’ve got a few pairs that are great.

I bought Sweaty Betty Garudasana capri pants in the summer sale. They were £27 and are so comfortable for lounging in or yoga. I really recommend them and would pay full price.

Are any of these leggings both high-waist and made from soft materials? I have sensitive (itchy) skin.

House of Fraser has some nice sportswear. I've got some Biba capris that I adore but I've seen some people wear the own brand stuff and it's really nice as well.

I've seen BAM leggings highly recommended as well.

I got 2 pairs for around £30 from lotus leggings online. Think they were on a special offer.

Tkmaxx are great for sports leggings although they do have less in larger sizes you may still find something. They also have loads of active wear stock in January.

I have to say, I've been wearing Gap Fit for years, and agree it's good quality for the price point. However, I've just bought a couple of pairs of Sweaty Betty leggings in the sale, and they are amazing. Feel gorgeous on, no slippage at all (even when wearing them all day Blush). I didn't pay anywhere near £90 for them (less than half that), but I'm very very impressed.

USA Pro seamless capris....what a comfortable delight. Cheap, too.

Also I go to TK Maxx and get a lot in there. Ronhill make good leggings too. Nice and high waisted. Proper sizing, so if I'm buying a 12, that's what I'm getting. No SML guessing.

Gap is very good. Frequent sales and good quality.

Like a pp I got my £95 sweaty betty leggings for under £30 In the back end of the sale.

If you’re buying running or other leggings make sure you do a bum check in the mirror. So many leggings go see through when stretched and the last thing you want is for the person behind you in class to be able to see your underwear when you’re bending over!!!

I have found some really nice leggings and soft yoga pants in TK Maxx by a brand called Manduka. Definitely not see through and about £25
