So embarrassing but I have such trouble with wind (of the female kind) during yoga that it has put me off going to a class.
It happens from down dog moving through particularly.
Is there anything I can do?
P.s this is genuine and please don't be mean I have no-where else to ask.

I know the feeling and it is so embarrassing! Happens to us all though, so don't let it out you off.

I think trying to tighten your pelvic floor and abs when upside down (like in down dog) helps? It seems to help me! I usually get it after head/shoulder stand but if I engage my core properly it's less likely.

"wind of the female kind" - Do you mean from your fanjo?

Aside from pelvic floor exercises and Mula Bandha during the poses where you are more susceptible to it, have you considered popping in a tampon or mooncup just for the duration of your practice?
