In about 4 years! It's going to be awful isn't it? But I need to do it. Every bit of my body feels out of sorts after having a baby.

Just worried I won't last the pace. Only an hour long class. Hopefully I won't be the only inflexible, overweight, no core to speak of, fairly unfit person attending the class!

Wish me luck someone please

Do it! Do it! Your body snap back into shape Smile

Or have you done it already? How did it go?

Aw thanks cote

Well I managed 20mins of a 60min class before I nearly hurled! Obviously not good! The room was really warm as well. Pleased I went though.

The instructor was really good, telling me what I should do as a beginner/postnatal lady.

Might look on you tube and try find some videos aimed at post natal. Build up slowly at home! Grin

Don't give up. Continue with it and your body will quickly get back into shape Smile

Make sure that tge class you went isn't Bikram Yoga. Some people really like a warm room for yoga or even for exercise in general. I don't like it, especially when I sweat and my hands start slipping on the mat.

When did you have your baby (congratulations BTW!)

I started yoga again after a hiatus (other than very gentle pregnancy yoga) of about 10 years 3 months after I had DC3 and I found the first classes horrendous - I was overweight and just generally very uncomfortable with myself. I sweated buckets as well, where I do yoga it is heated (but not as much as Bikram).

But, I have stuck with it and 10 months later am much improved - and found that with limited time the sort of yoga I'm doing is the right balance of getting my heart rate up, flexibility, strength and having some time out for myself.

Good luck!

Good for you doing it. A good teacher will support you in only doing what you feel able to do that day (which will change).

If you're looking for online classes try yogaglo.com. It's $18 a month and they have some fab classes including some great postnatal ones by Stephanie Snyder. Length of class and intensity etc. vary wildly (and are flagged clearly) so plenty to choose from.

Thank you all Wine

I had baby 4.5months ago. But it was pretty awful, needed 2 units of blood plus I have MS so I also then had a relapse. I have a lot to recover from. Shock

The class was a generic yoga one. Part of a gym membership. Think the heating in the building was just cranked up big time!! I was feeling like I could do it until I started feeling awful.

Anyway, I'm not going to go to a class for a while BUT I found a postnatal yoga video on nhs website so will do that to build up.

There's quite a few videos on the nhs website. Might need to work my way through them all Wink
