I wasn't actually at Workfest 2014, but I'm happy to start MaryzFest 2016.

All welcome smile

thatstoast Sun 20-Mar-16 23:15:11

What workshops will be at Maryzfest? Guest speakers?

Maryz Sun 20-Mar-16 23:17:40

Oh, good idea.

It could be like one of those imaginary dinner parties. I would start with Graham Norton (to get everyone into the mood) and Clare Balding, simply because I would like to meet her. She could have a workshop on anything.

<opens wine and thinks>

PacificDogwod Sun 20-Mar-16 23:19:27

Oh, oh, can anybody come?

Even overworked, underdressed, hard-of-thinking, middle-aged, slightly greying mothers-of-4? Really??

LineyReborn Sun 20-Mar-16 23:20:58

I could put on a disco on the first night, a kind of Lineyval, with poitín and all the greatest hits of Steps and S Club 7.

Name badges and dancing compulsory.

thatstoast Sun 20-Mar-16 23:23:31

I know most of the steps dance routines. I could do a workshop on that. One for Sorrow: The Workshop.

Maryz Sun 20-Mar-16 23:24:23

I'm an overworked, underdressed, hard-of-thinking, middle-aged, very greying mother of 3 (and a dog) so I guess you would fit right in P-Dog.

<reaches for the stars>

<slugs more wine>

Would anyone like some Lidl root vegetable crisps they are revolting

LineyReborn Sun 20-Mar-16 23:24:48

You're booked.

PacificDogwod Sun 20-Mar-16 23:26:47

I love Lidl's root vegetable crisps, love them I tell'ya!

I've just blown it, haven't I? sad

Is there going to be rousing singing?
And what about an official dinner? With a ceilidh??

coffeeisnectar Sun 20-Mar-16 23:30:31

Oooh! A party!! Are you having a party? You ARE having a party!!

<doesn't get out much>

Maryz Sun 20-Mar-16 23:31:03

Not a ceilidh.

Traditional music is ok, but the never-ending fiddles are a step too far.

Maryz Sun 20-Mar-16 23:32:26

Yes, a party.

A low-key party with alcohol and slankets.

And cats <snuggles up with cat>

RafaIsTheKingOfClay Sun 20-Mar-16 23:33:04

I have wine now I've found that topic.

coffeeisnectar Sun 20-Mar-16 23:33:48

I'm in!! I have four cats. I will share.

PacificDogwod Sun 20-Mar-16 23:34:49

Ah. Cats.
I cannot bring DHound then, can I?

<muzzles dog>
Nothing will stop me coming.

Dorritos, anyone?

Maryz Sun 20-Mar-16 23:42:47

Of course you can. I also have a snuggled golden retriever. In fact, the cat and dog are snuggling and I feel a bit left out.

Four cats, coffee? We had three and two got run over at exactly the same place on the road about a month apart sad. The remaining one hardly goes out, thankfully.

I'd come, but would want some reassurances about the 'ice-breaker' at the start of the fest.

Am just booking my breakout sessions now - I am having a hard time deciding, particularly break out session 3 - I want to do them all!

What has everyone else chosen?

BendydickCuminsnatch Fri 29-Apr-16 10:14:06

Sorry just realised this is not about workfest <doh> - sleep deprived! As you were grin
