Query over hours- interview tomorrow

I have a job interview tomorrow for a position advertised as 40 hours per week over 7 days. In my covering letter I explained I am unable to work evenings and weekends due to being a lone parent and having no childcare.
I also explained I’ve been working 3 days per week until I was made redundant but am able to work Monday to Friday up until 5:30pm each day.
Do I assume that, because they’ve offered me an interview, my covering letter has been read and the hours taken on board or should I mention it tomorrow just so it isn’t wasting anyone’s time if they haven’t fully appreciated the limitations on my time.
I do realise it’s slightly cheeky to ask for flexibility straight away but figured if you don’t ask you don’t get!

Good for your interview!

Yes, definitely mention what hours you can work at the interview. Not cheeky at all!

I've been advised by my manager to apply for a post I wouldn't have considered as it states more hours than I can manage and I also require flexibility because of the same reasons you've mentioned. They've offered me an interview and asked me to reiterate my "request" at the end of the interview for the benefit of the other interviewing panelists.

The company I work for offers a similar working pattern. X hours to be worked over 7 days with at least X hours between 9-5 Mon-Fri. The majority of staff do their full hours Mon-Fri and make up time at the weekend if needed.
Definitely mention/reiterate it at the interview as may be something they allow for flexibility rather than an expectation, if that makes sense.
Good luck for your interview!

Thanks! Interview went well, I think, I’m never very good at reading these things!
I did mention the hours again, I can’t help my situation it is what it is and at least I can convince myself that it was purely down to my time limitations if I don’t get the job!!
