DWP Work Coach Application Process

I’ve applied for a Work Coach role at the DWP. I’ve done the video interview and received an email to upload my ID documents. Does this mean I have passed the interview?

I would have thought so yes! Congratulations! How long did it take to hear back from the interview?

I did the video interview on Saturday and had an email at 17:30 on Thursday asking me to upload my documents.

I also have been asked to upload my documents but I’m not sure until they give a provisional offer. I’ll be quite fed up if I’ve gone through all this for nothing.

Did you hear anymore about the job after uploading your documents? I had the same email today and also wondering if I have got the job!!

I’m in the same boat! Uploaded my identification and right to work documents yesterday. Unsure if these means good news?! Has anyone in the same situation heard back ??

Having read other posts on other sites, most of the people interviewed uploaded theirs at the same time as the interview, so sadly I think it’s part of the standard process. Most have gone on the reserve list first and then offered something later. I haven’t had any scoring either which also suggests I might not have been successful as others have received feedback. It seems different locations are doing things differently.

Yeh I’ve been reading posts on other sites, and it does look like different areas are doing things differently. I just wondered if anyone had actually uploaded the documents and then were lucky and received an offer. It’s so frustrating not knowing. I haven’t received any feedback at all. I guess I’ll just wait with fingers crossed.

I've had an email to book a slot for a video call to show my passport etc tomorrow. Fingers crossed they'll have some more information!

Hi Ive had an email asking me to upload my documents but no link or suggestion of how to do it. Am I missing something really obvious 🤔

Hi Slp1970 , that happened to me yesterday . I queried what I was suppose to do by contacting DWP on the online chat . And was advised there was an issue. And that a further email would be sent once the issue was sorted. I did receive a further email, and it provided me with a flow chat , then options to input the document information . I would suggest contacting them via chat.

Hi Redrobin25. I have had the 3 page attachment telling me what to provide for each section but I cant see the how to upload part. I'm panicking I will be withdrawn if I don't do it by the morning. I'll give them a ring first thing. Thank you for replying

You should see a drop down box underneath each section with choose file to upload.

Hi

I’ve also applied for this role
I got an email for uploading my RTW and ID

I think this is a normal process for them, and does not mean that we have passed the interview

Fingers crossed for everyone

I uploaded my RTW and ID and on Monday and had a video call today to confirm them. Almost immediately after that I got an email with a provisional offer, subject to completing more pre-employment checks AND a vacancy in my preferred locations. So fingers crossed but I'm not holding my breath!

Yep I got a video call for Friday. It’s great that you have a provisional offer but it’s a shame they can’t give you a preferred location at that time. It’s really bizarre the way they have done it all. Ah well best of luck you get where you want

Morning, has anyone completed their RTW validation video call on their phone?? My laptop is playing up 🙄 , so will probably have to use my phone. Just wondering if anyone else did and was it ok? Mine is later today .

Hi I have applied for this too as an existing civil servant. Can I just ask what relevant qualifications / experience you have to have made it through?

I spent a full day working on the application and submitted it only to have got an email back saying that I hadn't met all of the eligibility criteria. I thought I had experience and good examples and had least of expected to got through to the online tests.

I know that I have got a job but I have applied for three internal vacancies recently and two was rejected at application stage and another got through application, tests and interview only then to be rejected. Its just disheartening to put in the work and get nowhere.

I applied as well Stressmess but back in August. I had to give a written example of using communication and influencing skills and automatically went through to the situational judgment test. They then did the sift and if successful candidates were invited to interview. I didn't make it to interview so wasn't able to get any feedback about my application.

Has the process application process changed, it sounds like yours was different to mine.

I applied as an existing Civil Servant and it was initial application, then tests, then video interview. Three eligibility criteria which were:

  1. At least 2 years practical experience gained in the last 7 years of working directly with customers or to provide support or guidance in order to deliver a quality service.
  2. At least 2 years practical experience in the last 7 years of examining a range of complex information in order to make an informed decision.
  3. At least 2 years practical experience gained in the last 7 years of handling challenging conversations or interviews with confidence to successfully resolve a dispute, disagreement or potential for conflict.

They said that I didn't meet all the eligibility criteria.
