Term Time Only Job - Furlough

Hi there, I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction.

I work term time only but have been on furlough since March. It is now school holidays and I remain on furlough until September. Does anyone know how my annual leave is impacted? I have to take my holidays in the school holidays but as I'm still furloughed do I only get them at 80% pay?

Does anyone know where I might go to find out this information? Obviously I can go to HR but I like to have a bit of my own understanding before I ask the company.

Thanks

We had to use some holiday during a few weeks furlough and annual leave days were paid at 100%.

Go to gov.Uk and search.

Annual leave during a furlough period must be paid at full pay. Your employer can claim back the 80% but must top it up to the full 109% normal pay.

100% not 109% (fat fingersGrin)

Thanks everyone - I've read it all on gov.uk but there isn't information for term time only jobs. I'm not sure how my holiday is paid as I have to take it in the school holidays and I don't know if it is then paid spread over each month.

I guess I actually just have to ask work. Thanks

@cautiouscovidity 109% would be nice!

I'm an employer of employees with a term time contract. My employees have equal pay every month so the holiday pay is spread throughout the year. Holiday is still paid on furlough at 100%.

Term time is usually paid at say 1.5 days a month.

What does it say on your pay slip? It’ll show up if it’s done monthly.
