First off not sure if this is in correct place so apologies if not.

After advice from anyone who can help. I applied for a job with the civil service closed over a week ago now. Within the paperwork it stated interviews on 3 June. I got confirmation email saying application received and they i would be kept updated with application progress. Thing is i have heard nothing, on my account it still says application received. Is this normal, surely i should have heard something by now even it its a no I didn't make it through the sift or i did.

CS jobs don't always run to the advertised recruiting schedule, so I wouldn't worry about it yet. For example, the job advert for the job I'm in now stated sift on X date and interviews on Y date. Both happened about 2 weeks later than the advert said.

The other factor is that CS Jobs in most cases gets updated by HR folk rather than the recruiting team, but they don't always (ever?!) get round to uploading results immediately. This means that the sift may well have happened, but the results just hasn't been uploaded to the system yet.

TL;DR - be patient. A week is nothing, and even if they said they'd interview next week, they might not.
