Can someone in payroll explain how the calculations for this work please? I heard that you have to get paid 100% for the bank holidays?

so say for example you worked 5 days and were on 20K

From ACAS website:

Employees or workers who are temporarily sent home because there’s no work ('furloughed workers'), can request and take their holiday in the usual way, if their employer agrees. This includes bank holidays.

Furloughed workers must get their usual pay in full, for any holiday they take.

So how would that be calculated? on a day basis i mean.

Salary divided by 52wks divided by 5 or no of days worked

Roughly on the 20k example you will earn £15 more per holiday day before tax around £10 £12 more take home

so if both bank holidays are due to be paid, the total would be Salary divided by 52wks divided by 5 or no of days worked times 2. Then the usual 80% calculation, minus two, then add back on the BH days?

Yes but easier to just work out how much you lose per day at 80% then add 2x that figure to what you're currently picking up on furlough actual figures may differ as it depends on how you're paid hourly salary weekly monthly and tax codes pension etc but I don't mind doing a rough calculation if you want.

Should say before you get your hopes up or start moaning at payroll has the company confirmed they are paying the bank holiday pay during furlough, they don't have to

Wiaa, it is cycling furlough, so sort of days worked but there are no calculations for last month either and I cant figure it out.

And no communication re bank holidays so no idea. I was hoping for rough estimate.

so three days a week at six hours? 9 per hour. Usually work Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays
