is this child asthma

hello, just a bit of advice... (before I start I will be contacting gp first thing in the morning)
My dd is 4 years old. And at bed time or waking up she seems to be coughing but in-between coughing she is gasping really gasping for her breath, to the point I cant sleep on a night with worry. (I do not think this is covid related as me and her dad has both been tested and results are negative) This has been going on for a few weeks now.
My question is does this sound like asthma ?
