I know there is going to be lots of people looking for work but where do you even start to look? I have a 18 nearly 19 year old who didn't get to finish her A levels because of Covid, she's not going to university but needs a job! I have no idea where to start!

What does she want to do? You can search for apprenticeships online.

If she's interested in working in a bank for example, have a google and look on their careers websites. Similarly if she wants to work in a supermarket check their careers pages.

If she's just after a local job if any type to tide her over for a bit look on indeed.

Thank you that's very helpful.

Also try your local council’s own jobs website. A public sector role could be ideally secure and flexible heading into a recession and something entry level can lead to lots of scope for progression.

A good way of getting in somewhere was to join my local NHS staff bank. Wasn’t related to my degree but tided me over and lead to permanent work.
