Anyone who can tell me about being an EP and/or completing a distance MSc?

I'm a teacher, an SEN specialist. Been thinking about retraining to be an EP. I don't have a relevant degree so would need to complete a conversation MSc in psychology. A few universities are doing a 2 year part time distance learning course, some are private universities others are traditional ones, not sure if the institution you study will has an impact on future prospects? Then it's a super competitive 3 year doctorate. Anyone go experience with an online master's? Any particular institution that's good or to avoid? Brunel, Arden and about half dozen others offer the course I need.

I'm 41, so a bit long in the tooth but I've still got 20+ years work ahead of me.

At the moment my favourite parts of my job are working with EPs, completing assessment and working on strategies to support children.

What are the best and worst parts of being an Ed Psych? What are the average weekly working hours? What does promotion look like? Are you glad you trained?
