Hello all,

I am currently on sickness leave from my role in the nhs due to depression and anxiety. The sick pay is during 2nd year of service 2 months full pay and during 3rd year of service 4 months full pay.

I am currently coming to the end of 2 months of being on sick leave but do not feel well enough to go back and due to the current covid 19 crisis my partner has lost his job and we cannot afford for me not to go back and need a full wage coming in. My question is as I started in October 2017 am I currently in my 2nd or 3rd year of servi ce? I have tried contacting work but dont seem to be getting anywhere.

Thank you. Smile

It definitely states during the second year of service, not after 2 years of service?

If the former then you are currently IN your third year of service.

You've done 2 years and you're currently in your 3rd year, so 4 months full pay 4 months half pay I believe? You can always phone your HR department to clarify. I am in a similar situation and that's my understanding of it, so I hope I'm right!

@msmetanova Thank you. I'm grand when I'm in the house but the thought of having to go out makes me want to vomit, though I'm sure I'm far from the only one at the minute! Hope things improve for you x
