So I applied for a job on Indeed and within three hours it says expired. It’s now saying expired on some other places it was advertised elsewhere.

Presumably they filled the vacancy already and my submitting a CV reminded them to take it down?

Or am I being too cynical?

Either way, I wouldn't overthink it - it sucks to spend ages on an application for a job you want only to be told it's been filled ages ago, so I feel for you. But they won't have shut up shop because of your CV (unless it was terrible ), so it's just a case of carrying on.

You might be doing this already, but if I know the company name, I usually check whether it's possible to apply direct through their website rather than through one of their posts on a job site, just to make sure they definitely receive it.
