Nhs Admin bank v permanent work

Hi I have been applying non stop for nhs admin work to no avail but have finally been secured a place with the admin bank. I’m disabled and finding work to support my son has been next to impossible since leaving my job 9 years ago. I keep being told I have no Nhs experience although I have all sorts of admin experience. What do you think would give me the best opportunity to develop experience ... the bank where there’s never a guarantee where or when I’ll be working or taking a permanent rule if it was offered then hopefully being there every day learning on the job maybe quicker? Help! Lol

As you have only been offered bank work so far, why don't you just see how you go with that? You might enjoy it, or you might hate it!

Yeah true. They’re taking forever though. They emailed me weeks ago to say they’ll be in touch regards my pre-employment checks. Do they always take so long?

Try to get a band "line of work" covering someones sickness or maternity or similar

I found it impossible to get someone good from our nhs admin bank!

I work in the NHS and would say start by applying for band 2 jobs I.e ward clerk/receptionist.

If I were you , to get your foot in the door I would take the bank role and then once you've built up some experience start applying for permanent roles.
