My current low paid, part time job has recently become extremely stressful and it is making me ill (waking in the night worrying, jaw ache from clenching teeth). It will not get better until spring at the earliest (if at all) and it is also not something I want to do long term.
Does resigning without a job to go to look really really bad on a CV? I already have a gap from having a couple of children and being a sahm until they started school.
I know what career I want. There are opportunities that I am going to apply for now. But I also have a months notice at work, so if I resigned now, I would be free in the new year to take up a new role. I think there may be more opportunities coming up then- assuming companies aren’t recruiting right now because of Christmas but will start afresh in the new year?
But will it look and sound really bad if I resigned now?
