Hi there, I'm not interested in going back to my career now that I have two little ones and I've been thinking about whether I can work from home doing waxing and other hair removal... My question is could I make a decent income from this?

Ate you trained? Would you go to client s or clients come to you? Do you have the space at home for a professional set up?

I wouldn't go round to someone's house for a bikini wax with their kid running around.

I would defo take a course and get a proper certificate. I have a downstairs room just off the main entrance. I could work when kids are at nursery/school and evenings...

Yes I did eyelashes, waxing, eyebrows spray tans etc from home when the kids were in pre school.
Took a few £ to get qualified and set up, insurance and what not. But with the use of word of mouth, social media, tapping into to school mums, promotions, I managed to get a pretty good flow.
Only thing is - people cancel last minute when you WFH and assume you have nothing better else to do. Confirm all appts and have a cancellation policy (such as take deposits). And you'll find yourself working long and late around the kids just to make ends meet.
It's definitely lucrative - beauty now more than ever is booming due to Love Island and stuff.

Thanks a lot for replies so far... just wondering if anyone can give me an indication... after insurance, taxes... what is your average take home per month?
