Becoming more outcome processed

I've just seen a really interesting video on outcome focused ways of working Vs process focused ways of working (and just being busy for the sake of being busy).

Does anyone have any good tips on how to shift to a more outcome focused easy of working? (I have googled, but the stuff I'm getting is from a management perspective mostly. I'm looking for something to help with my own work habits).
