Got interview yesterday and didn't get the job. Cried after coming off the phone. So many kids applying for one job. 60 applicants , 5 interviews...I was one. Don't know why I'm typing this. It's just difficult.
I'm so sorry but try not to take it personally. It may well be they had a name in the frame prior to interview, you just don't know. Take it as a positive that you were one of the 5 selected out of 60. Consider it practice for the next one, which could be the one! Ask for feedback, which may help to inform your next interview. I'm sure you did nothing wrong, it may just be the other person had more direct experience.
Try not to see it as a rejection. You were selected for interview which is more than 55 candidates, just someone else performed better on the day. Get the feedback, and get applying for the next one. Good luck
