I've been doing some freelance workunder a Nona disclosure agreement.
Work has involved a business plan. its well written and clearly my own work although obviously not a creative work such.

I do not have a formal contract with the owner.
He is now quibbling over money. He hasnt paid me anything.

Do I own the copyright and he can use he uses it until he pays me?

Without a contract specifying when the title/ownership passes, there's nothing to stop him using it.

but he doesnt have a contract permitting him to use it other does he?
Either way I have copyrighted it and if he refuses to engage with me will tell his legal team I have not given permission for him to use it.

In the absence of a contract, ownership of the goods is deemed to have passed upon them being handed over. If you wish to retain ownership, that has to be stipulated in the contract.
