Hello, I am currently studying AAT with the hope of becoming a self employed bookkeeper. I have just been offered a job to do the bookkeeping for a local garage as an employee under PAYE. Does this mean I dont have to worry about PII or registering for MLR? I think I only have to register and set those things up once I go self employed.....?

Thank you

You're right, if an employee, you don't have to worry about PII and MLR for the work you do for your employer. Of course, if you do any "on the side" work for anyone else, then PII/MLR come back into play.
