Facebook ads - do they work?

Hi. I'm a freelance communications consultant - just returned to self-employment. I'm thinking of using Facebook ads to target marketing directors/ managers to find work in my region.
Has anyone used Facebook ads before? Any success?
TIA.

I have bought things from them before, so I guess they do!

I work in online marketing and while you can certainly try Facebook, people aren't in work mode on that social media platform as it's for socialising so it might not be the best choice - you never know until you test it though. I'd say LinkedIn ads might be a better bet - I believe you can target by specific job title.

Linked in ads are quite expensive cpc compared to Facebook.

Do you have a budget in mind to spend on advertising?

I've used FB ads a few time with a tiny budget of £10 a go.

Have got one client from it and lots of hits on website. So it does work. And I like that you can control the budget. Make sure the ad is eye catching
