Slow burner

I've been painting and selling my art for a year now. It took a lot of confidence to put it online and it was well received! It's a slow burner however and I'm starting to doubt myself and artistic skill once the success has burnt out. I suppose I'm just looking for some encouragement or positive tips to inspire me? How did you boost your business when things got slow?
If you're interested in taking a look at what I paint to critique I'm more than happy to post a link.

Thanks guys ( New here!) need some friendly chat!

How are you reaching the people you want to sell to?

I suppose that's one of the first things to look at.

What sort of painting do you do?

Well done on getting it out there in the first place.... My artistic but unconfident mother in law has recently held her first art exhibition at the age of 72. All right, it wasn't a major exhibition in a gallery (a local art cafe runs them) but a fair few people came and it was a success not only in terms of sales but also really gave her a boost in confidence.

Thankyou! I'm selling through Etsy but promoting through social media... things started off hot but slowly dying out and I'm struggling with how to promote and get my art 'out there'. That's lovely news about your MIL, confidence boosting is the key!
