My name or new name?

Fingers crossed I am due to qualify as a personal trainer in May and then looking at setting up as self-employed during the summer. I am wondering if I should just use my name on the website so CosmicMonkey coaching or CosmicMonkey training or if I should go with an actual business name in case I wish to expand from just personal training into products or articles at some point.

I can’t actually think of a business name I would use which doesn’t help. It would need to be related to fitness in some way and I have a nickname of mouse which I would quite like to get in there if I wasn’t going to go with my actual name – I appreciate the word mouse may not fit though.

If you were looking at working with a PT would it make a difference?

Thanks for reading!

I think I'd prefer to book a PT who used their name, just sounds a bit more approachable. However I guess a 'business name' makes it easier to market (or does it)
Also I imagine you will hope to build your clients by word of mouth and referrals. So using your name just feels personal. But that's just my opinion Smile Good luck

Why not CosmicMonkey @ Business Name or something similar? Maybe 'with' or '&' if you don't fancy the '@'

CosmicMonkey sounds fun
Its good to add a bit of character but ultimately it depends on your services as a PT
Just make sure its a name you won't regret in a few years
