Fingers crossed I am due to qualify as a personal trainer in May and then looking at setting up as self-employed during the summer. I am wondering if I should just use my name on the website so CosmicMonkey coaching or CosmicMonkey training or if I should go with an actual business name in case I wish to expand from just personal training into products or articles at some point.
I can’t actually think of a business name I would use which doesn’t help. It would need to be related to fitness in some way and I have a nickname of mouse which I would quite like to get in there if I wasn’t going to go with my actual name – I appreciate the word mouse may not fit though.
If you were looking at working with a PT would it make a difference?
I think I'd prefer to book a PT who used their name, just sounds a bit more approachable. However I guess a 'business name' makes it easier to market (or does it) Also I imagine you will hope to build your clients by word of mouth and referrals. So using your name just feels personal. But that's just my opinion Good luck
