How to find clients

I've finally bitten the bullet, quit my job and decided to try and find work as a freelancer offering HR and employment law advice to small companies and employers, but I've never had to market myself before! I can't very easily go to the network events that tend to happen in the evenings owing to bathtime taking priority (my daughter's, not mine!) Has anyone got any suggestions on how to find clients, as a day time activity?!

People per hour is a good place to start. Upwork too.

There should be plenty of networking events during the day - some are even over breakfast, look around for more local groups - some are even geared specifically to women/mums in particular so may be at more suitable times. I reckon this is where you'll find a lot of small business owners.

Another vote for People per Hour - very easy to use and all invoicing is done online!
