I'm looking into starting a business selling products related to hiking/outdoors. Target market is UK hiking enthusiasts specifically long distance walkers. I had originally thought "Walking Enthusiast" but think it's best to leave the name a little more open to expand to other markets like cyclists, etc. So my second though was "Trail Buff", but I'm wondering if that gives away that I'm American. Not sure how well used the word buff is here...

Any thoughts or other ideas? Maybe including the words Trail or Path... Or not! TIA,

Hmm. I would know what you meant once you mentioned you’re American but here it tends to be used more in the context of ‘very attractive’. It also means naked. ‘He ran around in the buff’. So I wouldn’t use it sorry. Will have a further think of other ideas if I can.

I don’t think buff is that widely used here, I’ve only really heard it used for someone being a film buff. What about just Trail ?

What about Trail Blazers?

It's an ecommerce site and Trail and Trail Blazers .com domains are taken... Too bad because I like "Trail" it's really simple.

Yeah Trail Buff would mean the same as film buff, but I guess it's not really used...,

Whatabout something along the lines of 'Great Outdoors' or 'Outdoors Trail' ? widens it up to all the range of outdoor sports, (climbing, skiing, orienteering, etc.) not just hiking and biking ?

I would think of buff as the fabric things you wear round your neck/mouth/head to keep warm

Buff makes complete sense in the uk. I would trail buff to mean someone who is very knowledgeable about walking/cycling trails

Trail Buff just makes me think of the Naked Rambler... which could be an idea, along the lines of The Naked Chef? 😂

Other ideas:
Ramble on
On the Trail
Trail Totem
Trail Life
Trail Seekers
