Motivation

Please tell me I'm not the only freelancer who struggles with motivation. Some days I just can't get going at all.

I work for myself as a writer/researcher and love the flexibility and fact that i'm not tied to the desk at set times. All communication is by email which is great, no hassles over childcare (my youngest is 9 anyway), I really can't ever inagine going back to a "proper job", especially when I still have school age kids.

But I think it's fair to say that I like working for some of my clients better than others.... one gig I get regularly is writing multiple choice quiz questions and answers which is a lot of fun, educational and fairly straightforward. However one of my other clients retails/distributes garden products and although working for them pays more, I just can't get enthused about writing product descriptions for garden hoses and rakes.
