McDonalds: Experience of the Future Restaurant Reimaging
“McDonald’s UK serves hundreds of thousands of families every day, and is always looking for new ways to deliver as easy and enjoyable an experience as possible in line with their needs. Our Experience of the Future restaurant reimaging programme, introduced in 2015, is transforming the look and feel of our restaurants to serve the requirements of our customers today. Easy-to-use kiosk ordering means parents can browse the menu at leisure while table service, alongside new seating zones, allows parents to get their children seated while they wait for their food. For kids, fun digital elements have been introduced such as interactive tables and tablets to help keep them entertained with engaging content both before, during and after their meal. Play Places are also a new addition available in some restaurants and allow parents to let their children expend some energy in a fun and safe environment. Currently 765 UK restaurants have been converted and by the end of 2018 the whole estate will have been transformed to Experience of the Future.”
Yoti: The easiest and safest way to prove identity online and in person
“It only takes a couple of minutes to create a free, Yoti digital ID on your phone. Every account is created using a verified passport or driving licence which is then matched to you using facial recognition. The data you provide to set up your Yoti is stored securely using highly advanced encryption. Once your Yoti has been created, you and only you can access your personal information. Even Yoti can't access it.
Use Yoti to know exactly who you're dealing with when you're buying or selling online, dating or chatting in forums. Yoti let's you swap verified details with people you meet online, making the internet a safer place for you and your family.
Because you're in charge of your personal information, there's no need to reveal unnecessary information and potentially leave yourself open to fraud. You can safely send or swap the specific details people need to know in seconds. They never see your documents, just the bits of information you are happy to share with them. What's more, you can access a full log of everything you've ever shared and who you shared it with. In the future, you'll also be able to use Yoti to prove your identity to businesses and even prove your age on nights out and at the cinema, meaning you and your children can leave your important documents safely at home”.
Matalan: Baby Nurture Facilities in stores
“Matalan want to enhance our customer shopping experience and make it easier for parents to shop with young children which we know isn’t always easy during nap /feeding/changing times. With that in mind we have introduced specially designed Baby Nurture rooms within our newly refurbished stores.
These rooms are a calming environment for parents to be able to relax with their children whilst they change/feed them. The rooms are perfect for parents with babies and/or young children. It’s a clean safe environment for babies to be fed and changed plus there are also some pre-school toys to keep toddlers entertained without leaving them too excitable for their parents! The rooms have proved to be a hit with customers, and we’re now rolling out Baby Nurture rooms in all of our refurbished stores (60 planned for 2017) with the plan to have these rooms in the majority of our stores by 2018.”
