Not enough board members to start an organization?

Hi everyone, if you run is social enterprise or a very small charity in the UK, may I ask how you found your initial Trustees? This is one of the barriers I am facing at the moment. I don't think it's a good idea to put someone you don't know well as a trustee. I am uncomfortable about asking on either link up or linked in.

Are there any London based mentoring groups where they have people who wish to be trustees who I could maybe meet?
