Working from home tax credits help

I'm wanting to start selling from home. Basically direct sales like Ann summers forever or something. I know the rules around tax credits have changed around self employment so I'm worried I won't be able to claim anything. Anyone know what the score is now please?

Appparently from what I was reading you need to be doing eough hours and earning as much as you would the national min wage,so you had to be earning at least £180 a week, of course I could be wrong

If it's wtc be careful you could end up paying them back thousands if your not careful. Google the horror stories about HMRC Tax credits. I think it's £111 per week after tax so you can claim wtc. If your money goes up or down you have to let them know. You have to do your own tax and ni. Good luck

You have to do the national minimum wage x 16 hours and that's the figure you need to work towards to get wtc.

Muckypup is correct. You will not be earning enough money from those kinds of selling in order to qualify for tax credits. I can tell you that without a shadow of doubt, no matter what your upline tells you .

Don't worry yourself about it. Whatever one of those schemes you join you will never earn / make money.

Argh I'm just so desperate to be working again after having my baby and I can't find a job at all. I literally have no support so can't work after child care closes or weekends. Lots of jobs are 7 hour contract or something daft and still want you working on weekends. So fed up x

Say if I did it would I be allowed to and not claim working tax? So would I just get the child tax I suppose I'm asking xx

Avon reps are actually considered as a proper job for job centre plus, I've seen them advertised.

Also, how old are your dc, could you not work pt in education and have the holidays at home?
Our LA have office staff, admin and school secretaries/ receptionists that only work term time.
