Any languages tutors out there?!!

Am looking for some advice please! I currently work part time but am really really keen to use my languages and am looking into doing some private tuition and some private language classes whilst working to try and build some business up. Am looking for anyone who does something similar and to hear your experiences please! TIA! X

I have done this. There is a lot of interest with parents if you can make a kids course for an after school activity. Also tutoring for secondary school pupils, advertise through the schools, they might send out a leaflet for you. And online language tutoring is very popular these days, via skype. Let me know if you have any specific questions. I have stopped for now cos found the taxes too annoying.

I hope teach English as a foreign language via Skype, have you thought about this route? I use my own foreign language skills to support English beginners from the countries where my languages are spoken. The language skills also come in handy at first contact with potential students, regardless of their English level. Happy to answer questions by pm if the above is relevant and of interest.

I can recommend teaching on Skype for many subjects.
You can end up with students all over the place, sit at kitchen table if you wish, no travel or nobody invading your home.
very few over heads.
It's brilliant.
If you do decide, we are looking for a teacher of Italian for KS3 and GCSE, maybe then A level too.

I teach non-language subjects to University students. I get a lot of my business from First Tutors, I have been with them for years and they do not charge tutors to advertise (they get fees from the student for your contact details). I rarely do meetings, so we run tutorials by email, skype etc. This is a full time job for me.
