Where to get (free) business advice

Hello, I'm in the process of setting up my own online shop selling kids clothing and accessories. I'm at the point where I'd like to register my business officially, but I have no clue how and where to begin. Has anyone been in the same situation who could point me in the right direction? I'm doing all this with my own savings, so a cheap or free service (but trustworthy!) would be great!
Thanks in advance!

You need to think of a name, check it isn't taken (I think you can do this via company's house do a Google search). Then register the company. It's not so complicated or expensive but if you are finding it stressful and can afford it, you could use rapid formations (google them) to take care of setting you up.

If you are going to be a limited company, I'd get a cheap accountant to make sure all your paperwork is being done right. Again Google for cheap accountants, they can easily work remotely.

Good luck!

Ring your local Chamber of Commerce, they will be able to give you details of any free business support services. Also try the bank you have your business account with - they can usually offer some free business advice

Be careful of the bank. Do not buy any products they push at you but do ask advice if you want.
