Is anyone else a forever living business owner

mpepper · 20/07/2015 20:40

I just wondered if anyone else is part of forever living? I recently joined as a business owner and love it. I started on maternity leave as I didn't want to return to my teaching post. I've returned part time for now whilst I build up the business as I know it will take time and effort but the training and support is good so I know I'll achieve it. The products are also great has anyone tried them?

If you ask about a forever living scamming business owner in the title thread why would you ask if anyone had tried the crap product in the post? Hmm Trying to drum up sales?

I'm sorry but todo not own a business. You are a pawn in a game where someone will make a lot of money. But it won't be you.

How on earth can you be classed as a business owner? It's utter rubbish.

What a pointless thread, you have "bought" a "business" and now your asking what people think.
And what a weird post for your first day on MN.

Grin Hmm

It's just what they call it Suze rather than distributor as not everyone chooses just to sell the products some people choose to run it as a business and mentor a team. Actually wished I hadn't posted now I was asking a genuine question as a mum trying to earn a wage to stay at home with her baby Sad

Sorry, OP, this is not going to end well, you know that, don't you?

It's a scam/pyramid scheme from what I understand. If I were you I'd look for something else to do while on mat leave if you want a business.

I love reading the posts from my forever living friend on Facebook. They are becoming increasingly bonkers. Better than TV. Grin

Agree wholeheartedly with Eeyore. This smacks of you trying to drum up business for your scam

You should have googled or advanced searched on here about these scams OP.. There aren't many that are keen on them.

A tip though. Don't flood your friends newsfeed on Facebook or people will start to delete you.

Good luck.

Oh this is bound to get interesting

I feel cheated I've only got one FL FB friend but she's very quiet

I'm a teacher and I reckon you're much better off sticking with teaching tbh.

I did with my first 2 children Suze but because he's my last and I guess I'm much older now I'd rather spend time with him. Plus childcare
costs have gone up since my last child. Thanks all for your replies I won't annoy my Facebook friends Grin

Blimey, you've attracted some hostile replies..... Hmm

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you didn't start this thread in a misguided attempt to drum up business.

I don't do FL but ran a Phoenix Cards business (yes, a business, and very profitable too) for several years, which is much the same concept. It isn't a scam OR pyramid selling, by the way... but agree you need to be careful not to make yourself very unpopular selling to friends. FL isn't my cup of tea, don't like the product, but I wish you luck.

Honestly, I think if you want to talk about your 'business' you will be better talking about it with other 'business owners' who are like minded brainwashed. I think you'll find that almost everyone else is pretty cynical about your ability to make any long term success out of this, and they intensely dislike any system where someone makes a living out of pressuring and guilt tripping and hard selling to their own friends and family as a springboard to making wider contacts.

But good luck, anyway.

Thank you. I guess other sellers have provided the company with a bad name. Not sure why I deserve the ear bashing I've had a bad day as it is but never mind thank you all for replying x

How many people are in your team OP?

Report
mpepper · 20/07/2015 21:08

Hi Dione I have a number of customers who use the products but have not gone down the route of team building. I know people who do and as people have posted above I'm not keen on the hard sell and certainly don't want to annoy friends with it unless I genuinely feel they will benefit x

There are very few ways to earn money while sitting at home, it's part of the propaganda of pyramid schemes. And doing the thing where you don't sell the stuff yourself is pure pyramid, you get money from recruiting others into the scheme rather than from selling the actual products.

No-one can keep recruitment going over a long period of time, once you have all your friends and family doing it (assuming you manage that) you will run out of people to recruit. All the people on the website with the white Mercedes or whatever probably did do really well, but only for a short time.

Enjoy your baby but don't pin your hopes (or put your money) on this sort of scheme.

I know someone who is very successful with FL because she has a massive team. However to get to this stage ok years and years of networking and driving around the country to train people. With two young children she's had her sister looking after them. It's not all sitting in pjs on the sofa growing a business like they'd love you to believe.
Another friend tried it and got nowhere as she wasn't willing to exploit friendships to get leads. The training/coaching to increase teams/sales etc is quite brainwashing as my TA told me last wk (her future DIL is part of it).

What is it with the FL invasion today? Resurrected zombie thread earlier, now this one?

Although OP you do seem quite nice with it Wink
