Help with a new start up idea

Hi all,

I'm based in Barnes (SW13) and have an idea for a start up. I have joined mumsnet to see if anyone wants to help me test the idea. Briefly, the idea is to provide work shadowing opportunities to people who want to learn more about different careers. I'm specifically trying to target mums wanting to return to work. It is mainly suited to those wanting to start a new career or start a new business.
What work would you most want to find out more about? Would you be prepared to let me know and I can set up a shadowing day for you? I'd also love to hear from anyone who wants to get involved in helping me build up this idea/start up.

Lucy

I really like this idea.

I'm starting my own digital agency at the moment, specialising in digital brand launch campaigns and web design, and money is actually starting to come in (hurrah!), so I'm not your target right now, but six months ago, jobs that I would have jumped at shadowing are:

Digital project manager (duh)
Branding consultant
Marketing director
Account manager in a digital agency
Interior designer
Brand owner of small textiles company (like Ella Doran etc.)

And, you know, I'm really affordable for launch campaigns and website design. cough cough

thanks for the feedback - I have a couple of people in those areas lined up and ready, but given there are thousands of career choices available I still have lots of work to do. I'm still trying to get a sense of whether or not this is a service people would like. Based on your response, you were perhaps 1 person I could have helped a year ago! Anyone else out there?

How much would you charge for such a thing? I would also wonder what would be so special about an agency setting it up - why would you be able to arrange something that someone couldn't arrange perfectly well on their own,for example
