Following an earlier post on redundancy I'm thrilled to say I've been offered a 6 month contract.
But now I've got another problem - do I set up a limited company or use an umbrella vehicle?
My preference is for a limited company due to the additional tax savings but if my contract isn't extended I don't think the tax savings will be worth it.
I've talked to a couple of companies, the type who administer this sort of thing for you and charge a fee per month but they seem really expensive for what they do and I can't help thinking I should be able to do it myself.
Is there anyone out there who works as a contractor through a limited co and sorts out their own affairs not involving a third party?
Thanks
