Anyone here do freelance link building for seo

I need some help with my website as we are only getting a few visits per day.

I have looked on peopleperhour.com but I'm worried I'm going to get ripped off. Does anyone know of a legit company who will help me with link building for seo. I do not have a lot of cash to pay for this so the big well know firms are probably out of reach for me.

Of course they do look at links still! Where did you get that from?

That said, it's not as easy as it once was to gain higher rankings through paid link building. I've actually just dropped my seo to focus on other forms of search engine marketing.

Jemjelly, can you learn the basics yourself? That will really help you. First off, you can do a bit yourself. Even a little bit can significantly boost performance, given that you're hardly getting any traffic. I'd focus on website optimisation (keyword research, title tags, descriptions, content). this should def help. Second, it will help you to pick the right seo eventually...

But, I'd certainly concentrate efforts on getting your website optimised first of all - that's your low hanging fruit.

Take up Bird's offer. Until you have done everything yourself with regards to on page optimisation and internal linking, you don't need to spend money on paid links.

Love this explanation I found the other day of what you need to be doing moz.com/blog/visual-guide-to-keyword-targeting-onpage-optimization

When it comes to freelance link building, Sir Linksworthy at "Quest for the Link" has some excellent video and infographic tutorials, easy to follow in cartoon format:

A lot of link building and seo outreach you can do yourself, consider submiting your website to:

www.dmoz.org

It's the oldest directory on the internet and passes a lot of authority, if your site is accepted a listing is free.

Also get active on Twitter and Pinterest, Google is looking at social signals as a ranking factor as well as inbound links.

There are also loads of local UK business directories you can get listed in.
