Body shop party rep

Is anyone on these boards a party rep for Body Shop? If yes how do you find it? Good commission? Do you find it easy or difficult to find people to come to the parties and spend etc?

I used to do it and I did enjoy it. Now is a very good time to start as many people like a party around xmas- which will be launching soon.

I wasnt very good with working out what money I earned but was def better off when I was repping.

I did it for a bit. It seemed a great way of making money, however you need to have a lot of friends with a fair amount of disposable income to get it off the ground in the first place (and hope they have lots of friends in a similar boat). I enjoyed doing it but didn't make much money at it - everyone who came to the parties seemed to enjoy themselves but just didn't spend enough money (and often if someone at the party wanted to hold a party themselves they would invite all the same people, whereas you really want to get new people coming in so you get new customers etc).

It did get me into using the products and I still use loads of Body Shop stuff, such as their make up, body scrubs etc.

apart from avon is body shop the only "beauty" type product which does party based selling?
has anyone tried inviting from more of a stranger rather than friends only base eg students from the local college or would this not work because there is no incentive to buy where friends might feel obliged due to the friendship?
naieve question maybe but i assume the cataloge you sell from is priced at the same price as the shop i.e. there is no uplift which might be a dis incentive to buy. sorry for all these technical questions i realise i might be able to get some of the answers from the body shop at home website but if anyone knows.....

Virgin Vie do party plan too.

You do parties for anyone...lots of leaflet drops/posters in windows.

Price wise - normally same as shop but their are offers and exclusives to body shop at home.

Hosts have parties because of the freebies- may even host one myself soon- last time I had the highest host reward possible! The rep (my old manager) was mega pleased!

I've just signed up with BSAH today and have got 2 of my 4 starter parties booked in already and the other 2 promised with a couple of back ups. Going on a training course on Monday and possibly Saturday if I can get childcare sorted out. Seems like a good time to join with the run up to christmas and the launch of the BSAH adverts on a couple of TV channels.

I can't wait to get stuck in Smile

There's also Forever Living. I started last year and it's really good, I'm really enjoying it.

Forever Living isn't very popular on here Kirsty. You might like to do a little search on it.
