Nervous and excited. What should I bring? apart from gin

Spindelina Mon 01-Oct-18 18:42:44

I'm home at last <phew> - not a bad trip home apart from a 30 minute traffic jam around Oxford - some lorry had decided to shed its load/break down/ be annoying .

I’ve just seen the pics on Facebook, you gorgeous lot! So glad that you all had such a great day grin

It looked like a beautiful venue too!

Meet0nTheIedge Mon 01-Oct-18 07:03:07

Another traffic alert - if anyone is travelling home that way today the western side of the M25 is already gridlocked due to an accident sad

TheWoollybacksWife Mon 01-Oct-18 00:04:42

I flipping well hope there is a Hugathon2.0! I'm putting my name down now grin

Hi to everyone I met today 👋🏼
I hope K & P were pleased with how it went and hope to do it again sometime 🍸

DropZoneOne Sun 30-Sep-18 22:26:11

book yes we did very briefly meet as I was rushing off! I'm terrible with names, so I can just about manage faces to mn names but real life names have now totally gone. elephant your badge was inspired, so clever

Meet0nTheIedge Sun 30-Sep-18 22:10:46

Yes, a lovely day. Really enjoyed the chat on our table (the Kinship hugs one) and what a lovely venue, well done K&P!

WhenDoISleep Sun 30-Sep-18 21:45:24

Lovely to meet lot's of people today.

Big thanks to K & P for organising a fantastic day!

elephantoverthehill Sun 30-Sep-18 20:40:53

Um that would be the right actually Book, IwantaCampervan was to the left. One day I will know the difference between left and right.

elephantoverthehill Sun 30-Sep-18 20:27:42

Book , Drop was to the left of me on our table.

bookbook Sun 30-Sep-18 20:18:46

<pah> elephant - so you didn't swim! -
oh no Drop - I was trying hard to go around and see everyone, but all the names got too much for me - which table were you on ( I just started getting up and forcing myself on people! )

elephantoverthehill Sun 30-Sep-18 19:53:30

on with the square that didn't get finished That's exactly what I am doing Book. It was lovely to meet you and no the hovercraft still wasn't running so I walked to the hovercraft port and had to get a bus back to the FastCast.

DropZoneOne Sun 30-Sep-18 19:51:13

Fabulous day, lovely to meet some of you. I arrived a bit late (uni parking was closed!) and most people were sat down with yarn by that point. Next time I'll be more organised, and that will hopefully give me a chance to meet more people - or I'll just swop tables half way through like some weird woolly speed-date.

No idea what to create with my free yarn so if anyone wants an extra ball let me know and I'll post it on.

Spindelina Sun 30-Sep-18 19:30:24

We still made our connection so it turned out ok - not so sure about the coach me reversed into shock. Back home very soon.

Lovely weekend! Great venue, so much wool, and lovely to meet some of you.

Iwantacampervan Sun 30-Sep-18 19:20:55

A fantastic day - thank you K&P for organising it and lovely to meet lots of new people (even though we didn't use our MN names!).

bookbook Sun 30-Sep-18 19:18:18

x post MrsJ - - I didn't do anything much at all but chat to folk! ( I don't find that very hard grin )

bookbook Sun 30-Sep-18 19:13:18

Fabulous day! Lovely to meet so many WHuggers.
Safe journey home everyone , and Spin - hope you are not too delayed.
We do not set off home until tomorrow, so feet up, and on with the square that didn't get finished blush

MrsJonesAndMe Sun 30-Sep-18 19:11:54

Safely home and caught up with real life. Was lovely to put a few names to faces.

Amazing to see other people's handiwork, way of working etc

Hope everyone got home OK - spin especially, that's really not a good start to the homewards journey!

Special thanks to book for holding my hand (figuratively) and to K&P for all the organising that goes on behind the scenes.

HoggyTruffle Sun 30-Sep-18 18:01:03

What a great day, made even better with picking gin from the lucky dip. Chipping - I did remember my login details!
It was lovely to put a few names to faces, especially TQ1 and Lesley who were fellow slaves on the square joining table with me and Ninja.

elephantoverthehill Sun 30-Sep-18 17:17:39

A great day K&P, well done for organising a relaxed and friendly event. It was great to put faces to names. A beanie's a great idea Twitter. Sorry I want a campervan for not realising I was sat next to you for about 3 hours grin.

TwitterQueen1 Sun 30-Sep-18 16:38:55

Thank you so much K&P for a brilliant day! It was so lovely to see everyone and I really enjoyed learning how to construct. Thank you too Leslie for my amazing badge.

Love the goodie bag! I will make a beanie. I hope everyone has a good journey home.

Spindelina Sun 30-Sep-18 16:33:03

So, my rail replacement bus has had a prang trying to leave the bus stop. DH and DD are well on the way home - feeling quite glad we decided to get them leaving early!!
