Woolly hugs

Stupid Question?

I'm quite new to MN and have just stumbled across this topic. I'm hoping someone can explain what it's all about. From what I can gather it's a collective blanket making group for people in need?

I'm a novice hooker and love the idea if I have it right, showing support and love one square at a time?

Thanks for taking the time to explain to the newbie! Smile

Morning MissH, as the lovely BeerTricks says, you've nailed it :)

We have a website here The home page explains the big Woolly Hugs for families and then if you look at ongoing projects you will see all about the work we do with World Child Cancer, Yorkhill and the Brompton Hospitals. As well as our current Easter Craft fundraiser for the charity MIND. Once you've seen about the projects, look down the Woolly Hugs topic and you will see the threads.

Woolly Hugs is certainly a very lovely and busy woolly community. All are welcome!

We are also on Facebook MNWoollyHUgs and Twitter @MNWoollyHugs

Thank you

I came on the Woolly hugs section wondering where to post my "stupid question". Seems a good a place as any... Blush

If I wash and block my finished blanket and get it nice and straight (ish), won't it go wiggly edged again when it is washed?

I have never kept any for myself so have never needed to wash them again

Any wise thoughts?
