When we offered to make some Little Hugs for Yorkhill Hospital, we also talked to them about their Christmas Fundraiser.
As part of our support, we offered to help by making some little things that could be sold on a craft stall to help raise funds for the hospital.

So here we are, asking you if you could help in anyway.
If you could make one small thing, we would be so grateful.

We have an idea of the types of things that have been popular in the past and have a few idea of our own such as:

Little hats
Little cardis
Christmas Decorations
Little bags and purses
Christmas stockings
Bunting
Knitted or crocheted softies
Brooches
Cotton washcloths
Napkins
Coasters
Stocking fillers

Although it is a Christmas event, the goodies needn't necessarily be Christmassy.

Any other suggestions are welcomed with open arms

If you have any patterns or links that would help to inspire others we'd be grateful for those too.

We have a Last Posting date of 17th November so that we can ensure that all the goodies arrive in time for the Christmas event.

As always, thank you so much for your support.

Thanks

I spoke to Yorkhill this morning and they are  incredibly touched and delighted with both the Little Hugs but also with the prospect of this latest project. Really blown away by the support and generosity. Tis a very special thing everyone is doing, and will make a difference to the families.

Today I learnt how to crochet triangles and am going to make Christmas bunting!!

As always do PM me if I can help in any way. And another huge thank
you Xx

Ooh I'd like to do something for that. I have only managed 6" squares until now and my attempt to knit a larger one for the refuge project isn't going well Blush

I'll hang around in the hope that some clever crafty people link to some foolproof ideas Grin

I could make a pair of mittens. Fingerless ones, made my DH some last year, he loved them. Would that be ok?

I make and sell baby booties. PM me an address and I'll send you some. I can do newborn or 3-6 months and have egg yolk yellow, turquoise, pink or baby blue with or without owl buttons, with daisies or with velcro fastenings. Just let me know what you need. x

More than happy to donate.

But would love to get knitting? Maybe someone can point me to an idiot-proof website/video?

Happy to have a go at anything, but squares will probably be best to start?

Then maybe hats? but not the teeny tiny ones Wink

If anyone finds or uses a good pattern, knitting or crochet, do let us have a link so we can pop it on the WH website for reference.

I'm waaaay to un-skilled for making hats etc.

This is what I'm good at

and this

But I'm not sure prints of stuff like that would be useful!

I love these Rather. Can bang them out in about 1-2 hours depending on how I embellish them.

All I can manage is teeny hats (and larger sizes), I've been on the FB but if anyone wants to PM me an address I'll get knitting (currently on a blanket for DD1s doll).
