Following on from the blanket for Magic8 which is under construction, we'd like to offer one to Whatevertheweather who has recently lost her baby daughter.

I know there is already an army of knitters and crocheters and donors out there; would anyone be able to join us?

I'll send money, I can't knit. Please let me know where it is to go.

I can knit, is someone going to be organising matching donors with knitters?

DutchOma · 31/08/2011 07:23

I can knit 3 squares out of any ball of wool that anybody would care to send me.

We need a volunteer to match up donors with crafters, please. I'm happy to do the construction again (unless someone else wants a turn??), but don't have the skills to take on spreadsheets etc Sad

I don't know if I can do spreadsheets, but I think I could probably do it on a piece of pare away from the computer, if that is any help?

Card files worked for centuries before some bastard one invented computers, Oma - thank you Star

Happy to join in again - happy to buy wool for someone. Is there enough of the right sort of wool left in the country, or should we switch to a different one? perhaps the baby one this time, or not?

I thought this when reading the thread.

I'm up for helping again.

happy to send some money to someone. Not so good at the knitting part and crochet is beyond my skills.

I'll knit again.

If we use the same wool, I can hold back any spare plain ones from Magic's three.

I can't believe there are so many volunteers so fast Star

I'm in.

Oma, I'm PMing you.

That's true, pidjin , hadn't thought of that - was just thinking about Lydia running out of stock and the other shops slowing down in their deliveries, so was a bit concerned about supply!
(have PMd you as well, btw, just in case you haven't noticed :))

I am happy to do one or more squares - have enough wool left over from magic8's one as well so am happy for any squares I send to be split between blankets as appropriate.

I will do 3 squares , < wish I didn't need to.> But proud and honoured to be a part of MN at it's best. So sorry for Whatevertheweather and the loss of her daughter.

Do you think it woud be possible to get a baby sized blanket out to her before Erin's funeral? I am happy to make a replacement bear square for Magic8's blanket.

I have just ordered some wool from Cucumberpatch explaining the situation and asking for a prompt dispatch.
