I'm interested in what the article said about cross border effects. If you normally reside in Scotland you can self id, but what if you move to England, surely this means you would have to apply for an English GRA? So confused.

“Other concerns include cross-border effects and the potential misuse of privacy provisions. Nor has the Scottish Government produced any evidence to support its view that the proposed changes would not have a negative impact on women and girls,” it read.

That could be a brilliant way for Sturgeon to back out of this mess. She could blame England too. She'd love that.

Someone did ask on another thread "what if I identify as Scottish?" which made me laugh! You would only need to identify and live as a Scottish person for 3 months to qualify, but I think that would need a whole new thread.

Almost a million Scots in rUK too, technically possible for one to self-id under Scottish rules if they change. Could actually impact rUK more than Scotland in theory. I hope she uses this border issue as a get-out
