"We ask you to reassure women who have left the party, or who are thinking of leaving the party, due to the distressing, hostile and unjust environment women are facing, that you hear them, that you value them, and that you are taking action to support them and all women in the party in regard to everything that has been raised here.”

Good letter. It will be interesting to see if and how she responds.

The response:

An SNP spokeswoman said: “We all have a duty to encourage respectful debate, and no one should be subjected to abuse. The First Minister has spoken before about the abuse she receives on a daily basis, and the way in which such abuse can put young women off politics.”

Hmm

Not quite a heartfelt unscripted video...

I honestly don’t understand why any woman is bothering with the SNP any more. They have given up on us, especially Nicola Sturgeon.

"No." said Nicola.

Look. There is the leading and highest risen female politician in the UK afraid to say she values and supports women.

Because of what men will do to her if she does.

Oh Michelle, you've summed it right up. Quite chilling when you put it like that. 😳

Sturgeon is far more committed to scoring woke points, trying to look more progressive than England, and pandering to the teenage vote, than she is to women’s rights.
Her fawning, obsequious response to transgender voters threatening to leave the SNP - begging them to return - is in stark contrast to her “basically couldn’t give a shit” reply to women in the same situation.

Scotland is so busy trying Not To Be England. It's a bit like Canada trying Not To Be America.

Both countries are so determined to be more progressive than the country at their border, they're blind to the problems.

NS evidently hasn’t tuned into the remarkable debate taking place in the House of Lords.

I wish I could see her face when she gets briefed on it....

See also Ireland, which is so frantically trying to be woker than thou that we're rapidly returning to a theocracy, complete with Inquisition.
