I'll keep it as simplified as possible.

"Men who are closet gay, might, perhaps, sometimes present as misogynists and frequently display casual sexism both overtly and or covertly. And fervently support TRAs, without question.

For whatever* reason, even if they openly support LGBTQ+ rights, they feel ashamed of their own sexuality (that is other than being anything other than 'straight'). So much so that they display their heterosexuality with great vigour - on social media, most notably treating women on their radar, in pop culture, their female 'friends' and family and women and girls like shit..." ... "These are men who are not typically looked on as being homophobic..."

I'm looking for loopholes in this, so please do scrutinise. I'm only going on my own wider observations, though most especially my personal experiences.

Misogyny is misogyny is misogyny, basically.

@LeopardFever I'm relating misogyny and male supporters of TRA to men who are closet gay/possibly homophobic.

Has anyone else noticed a connection?

I don’t know, can’t speak for men, maybe ask them?

I can't say that I've really noticed a pattern like that. I can see that someone might think that way, it seems plausible, but I'm just not sure how common it is.

In general I think there can be a tendency to overplay the idea that someone who dislikes something is repressing that same tendency.
