What a breath of fresh air! It was lovely to see his support for Rosie Duffield too. Time to get my thank you cards out of the drawer.

Is Philip Hunt related to Jeremy Hunt?

Oh that’s great. Seems to be more sense in House of Lords than the whole of parliament.

What an excellent speech. And yes for his support of Rosie Duffield and brilliant that he called out the shameful silence of those who should be standing up for her.

That a great speech. Rare to see a Labour man willing to speak out.

Is Philip Hunt related to Jeremy Hunt?

No, their names are pronounced differently. Philip's is pronounced as it reads whereas Jeremy's is more of a kh sound at the start.

I could hardly believe my ears hearing him call the people not standing up for women, "cowards". Questioning the government for doing nothing because their own departments have embedded "this philosophy" within their own advisory system. Just brilliant!

Love how he explicitly said how the treatment of Rosie Duffield was shameful. This man has the ear of some strong women around him 💪

He's been reading Mumsnet hasn't he? All the arguments right there. All the words right there. Bravo your lordship, or however I'm supposed to address you 👏
